DIRECTIONS

Travelling by Car

Rockport is 45 miles from downtown Boston.

Drive north on Route 128 (through two rotaries) to the traffic light in Gloucester.
At the traffic light, turn left onto Route 127.
Drive 4 miles to Rockport.
Continue through “Five Corners” onto Route 127A (Broadway) toward the harbor. It’s a slight veer to the right. At the stop sign at Mt. Pleasant Street (lighthouse in median), turn left and then bear left onto Main Street. The Shalin Liu Performance Center is on the right at 37 Main Street.

Travelling by Train

Rockport is accessible by commuter rail from Boston and other Northshore towns. The commuter rail originates from North Station on the Green line in Boston. The train station is ½ mile walk to the concert hall.

Walking Directions from Rockport Train Station

Leave Rockport Commuter Rail Station and turn left onto Railroad Avenue. Turn right onto King Street for and then turn right onto Beach Street (Atlantic Ocean and Front Beach on other side of Beach Street). Follow Beach Street and the Shalin Liu Performance Center will be on your left after you’ve merged onto Main Street. The Congregational Church is across the street.

16 Main parking lot
Available for most performances, free and accommodates about 30 cars

The Cove parking lot on Beach Street is available, but there may be a charge for parking in the lot during peak season.

Enter the lot via the driveway opposite the Front Beach restrooms. From Memorial Day to early October the lot is available but there is a parking fee. Distance to Performance Center: 350 yd.

Town Hall Annex, 26 Broadway

Coming from the Route 128 traffic lights, follow Route 127 into town, where the road curves left, go straight ahead onto Broadway. Pass the Senior Center on the left (building with canon out front) and the Post Office on your right. Adjacent to the Resident Parking Lot on your left is a small lot for the Town Hall Annex. This small lot allows for free parking on evenings and weekends. Distance to Performance Center: 120 yd.

Finally, use of unmetered spaces is encouraged. If possible, Rockport Music asks that you consider avoiding metered parking during the day (evening concerts are fine), as merchants and restaurants depend on these spaces for their patrons. Meters are strictly enforced, 7 days a week.

Evening Alternative

Ace Hardware parking lot off Railroad Avenue. If specifically noted on the website or in an email notification to ticket holders, this lot will be reserved for Rockport Music ticket holders. It is located next to the MBTA railroad station. Distance to Performance Center: 1,000 yd (0.6 mile). There is no shuttle service.
