Parking Options for Concerts and Events
at the Shalin Liu Performance Center
BEST OPTIONS
Free parking is often available at Rockport National Bank, 16 Main Street. Rockport Music ticket holders may park there – pending availability -- Monday through Friday after 6 PM; Saturday’s after 12 PM (noon); and Sunday’s all day. Enter the lot at the driveway just past the bank building on the left side of the street. Distance to Shalin Liu Performance Center: 200 ft. Please note that other organizations often have access to this lot, and on those days, Rockport Music patrons must seek other parking options. If the bank lot is full or not available, proceed to the Peg Leg Inn parking lot on Beach Street. Enter the lot via the driveway opposite the Front Beach restrooms. From Memorial Day to early October the lot is available for Performance Center ticket holders at a reduced rate of $8, after 5 PM (4 PM on Sundays). During the winter months, when the Peg Leg Inn parking lot is reserved, parking for Rockport Music ticketholders is FREE. Distance to Performance Center: 350 yd. Another option: if you’re driving up Main Street, turn left on School Street, then right on Broadway to the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on your right. Adjacent to the church (and just before the Resident parking lot) is a small lot at 26 Broadway with limited free parking; this is available to the general public year-round. Distance to Performance Center: 120 yd.
Finally, use of unmetered spaces is encouraged. If possible, Rockport Music asks that you consider avoiding metered parking, as merchants and restaurants depend on these spaces for their patrons. Meters are strictly enforced, 7 days a week, from 8 AM to 6 PM.
EVENING ALTERNATIVE
If specifically noted on the website or in an email notification to ticketholders for a specific concert, when needed, the Ace Hardware parking lot is reserved for Rockport Music ticket holders. Located next to the MBTA railroad station, enter the lot off of Railroad Avenue. Distance to Performance Center: 1,000 yd (0.6 mile). There is no shuttle service.
